Working with Meaghan has been a lifesaver for me over the past seven years. I suffered an ankle break that went undiagnosed for several years, and after it was discovered, she helped me rehabilitate my ankle (and hip) with her excellent understanding of functional anatomy and creativity in adapting Pilates to my unendingly shifting series of physical ailments. Meaghan approaches each of my sessions with kindness, compassion, and humor, as well as genuinely excellent listening skills. When I’m healthy she doesn’t hesitate to work me hard to build strength and flexibility.

FAQs

Can I do this if I haven’t worked out in a while?

Absolutely! I know how hard it can be to get into an exercise routine when you’ve been out of it for a while, and it can be hard to know where to start when you’re ready to get into it. One of my favorite things about Pilates is it’s a little bit of a shapeshifter: it is a system that morphs itself into exactly the version of itself that is accessible for you. You’ll get a great workout but it won’t be so intense that you can’t walk the next day and aren’t able to continue. So even if you’ve been out of it for a while, I’ve got you covered.

Do I need to be flexible?

No! Doing Pilates will likely improve your flexibility, but you don’t need to be stretchy to start. Our goal isn’t to achieve a certain visual ideal for each exercise; rather to work your body as it is and see progress from week to week.

Why should I work with you over someone else?

I have experience in getting results for clients. If you have any barrier to movement (pain, injury, body change, inexperience, lack of motivation, etc.), I see you. I’m here to listen to and understand your experiences, and work from that place to get you moving. Pilates is not a mold that you have to fit into. When you start where you are and use Pilates as a tool, your body can amaze you.
